Anyone that can handle defensive duties in the matuidi role left ozil or Müller out, reus in the grizzy role, sane or Werner making the mbappe runs depending on the opposite team and Gomez in the Giroud role

The problem is not Werner, but ozil, muller, draxler are worst. Timo werner isnt the worst striker at the WC, look at gabriel jesus

The problem was that Germany played a high line consisting with slow players. At bayern flick plays a high line but it works cuz they have quick defenders and the whole team presses. They also have super fast wingers and 3 engines in the midfield. Germany tho played with hummles and boatang as cb. Both slow with kimmich and Hector as fullback that are also slow. And kroos and khedira as a double pivot. (both are very slow and lazy) and on top of that no wingers lol. Muller, ozil and rues are all cams. Only rues is quick between them. And not that fast either. Also ozil is soo lazy. Then werner was playing as st. He is good but just doesn't suit possession football low used. Now what low shouldve done was play sule along with hummles at the back for all games cuz sule is fast. Than play goretzka instead of khedira in the middle to add speed and energy and sane (a pure fast winger) instead of one of Miller, rues and ozil. And Germany would've won the world cup again

Zhir Taher i think it’s mostly mental. they underestimated their opponent. for example, they can score when they REALLY want to. like when krasonar or whatevs they’re called scored, they answered within a few minutes. they need will and i don’t think they had it in those europa league matches. i think that’s just how it is with a young squad.
