When everyone around me was supporting either Brazil or Argentina, I was singled out for supporting Germany. And this man made me real fan of German style football. What a player! Master of midfield, played with both feet and controlled the match tempo. Absolute legend and greatest midfielder of all time! respect from India.

@gerry findon Can you tell me why Gerd Muller is better than Ballack ? the vast majority of Gerd Muller's goals are normal goals and he was lucky to play for great teams

Such an under rated player. World Cup final, champions league final - the man was a machine. If he had of played in the world cup he might have beat Brazil on his own.

sometimes world cups are never kind to him. esptecially when getting suspended for the semifinal against south korea ( although, he scored the only goal to win the game for germany) if he wasnt suspended, he wouldve beaten brazil becuase of his talent and preformance

the unsung hero in german football and one of the most unlucky footballer ever. 2 ucl final, 1 wc final, 1 wc third place, 1 euro final.imagine the carreer if he had won it all.

He took a sht leverkusen team to ucl final and a sht german team to 2002 wc final! And that too both on his own! He was a one man army! And he missed both finals due to suspension and his team lost both finals! Then his chelsea team lost in finals to utd......on penalties! And that too in a dramatic penalty miss by terry in the ucl finals shootout! If he had won any of these trophies, he'd have been known as a ballon d'or winner! Der Captain Micheal Ballack! He was single handedly one of the greates and unluckiest players ever!
