As a Fire fan, I’m beyond grateful that such a classy and legendary player like Basti played for my club. We seriously didn’t deserve him yet he decided to stay with us for 3 years, even though our coach/upper management is the worst of all time! I genuinely feel bad that he couldn’t win any silverware (again thanks to the shitshow that is our coach/upper management) to give him a proper sendoff but I’m still thankful that he gave the final years of his career to us. Ein vielen dank für alles, Servus Basti! 🔴⚪️🚒⚽️🇩🇪

Seeing him cry was the most emotional moment in a career I have ever seen. It was more hurtful then the 2012 loss in my eyes seeing my favorite player leave the football world. It was beautiful and sad at the same time. I dont think I will ever have this feeling for a player again. Bastian is München and everything what the club stands for. Mia san mia, mia san Basti

The absolute definition of what a German footballer is suppose to be this man was the main reason the German football team was considered "The Machine" in his era look at the team now no heart no passion no fire undisciplined I was so glad when he won the CL and the way he played in that 2014 WC the way he played in that final he should have gotten the golden ball even tho he had no stats without him they do not win that WC not only that but in fifa he was the most balanced player off/def for a while in those video games

Basti was good at everything but never outstanding, his strength was the hardwork and the leadership wich doesnt translate into fifa. He should get 92, 89 and 87 in my opinion and thats coming from someone who still has a poster from him on the wall. His highest rated stats should be passing and physical. He also could have a much lower rated(85ish) LW card with a fairly good pace upgrade. Prime Icon btw should be from 2013 and moments for the WC Finale. Mid from 2010. Baby really should be from 2006 his breakout for Germany. And anything under 90 stamina on his mid+ would be a disgrace

Klose? No never was a top 3 striker, Schweinsteiger was a top 3 number 6 at least from 2011/12 to 2014. He was at least as important for Germany as Klose was at the worldcup and for me matchwinner in the finale 2014 together with Manuwall Neuer. And besides Nationalteam Schweinsteiger is one of the most decorated german players ever, if I have it remembered right only Neuer and Thomas have won more trophys
