When Robert Lewandowski arrived in the Bundesliga 10 years ago, few could have imagined he would one day become the best player in the world. Signed by Borussia Dortmund under Jürgen Klopp, he's since gone from strength to strength. At Bayern München, he's won five straight Bundesliga titles, been the league's top scorer four times and broken record after record. His 34 goals in 2019/20 was the most ever by a non-German in a Bundesliga season, and was just one part of his personal treble of being top scorer in the league, DFB Cup and UEFA Champions League as Bayern won the lot. On the back of that astonishing campaign, the 32-year-old Poland international has now been voted The Best FIFA Men's Player 2020. What impresses you most about Lewandowski? Well...if you ask me, I think he is special by being a regular person with no tattoos, no scandals, no silly conduct....he seems to remember that it is just football and he is just a football player, who can handle well all the success on the pitch and out of the pitch. The balance of it makes him so remarkable that almost unbelievable.... 'pull the strings people' in Bayern Munich know his true value.

Im happy and proud to live in times when m neighbours official league channel calls my compatriot a living legend. But what is most imporant to me and my kids is he is a paragon of work and devotion. I saw no even one comment years ago saying he will be where he is. Thats because then - he wasn't . It is all about work, and self perservation to get him where he is. And Im very happy that he showed that so I can set him as an model for my kids, and to show world that we Poles are not only creative ;) but also well organized ;)

What impresses me most of Lewandowski is that he strives for personal excellence , outstanding work habits and that he is not only a striker but very much a team player often putting his team before his own "shine ". 👏🏼👍🏼

His consistency is probably the most impressive thing. Being able to put up stats like that for a couple of seasons is one thing, but to do it year on year is the kind of thing that gets you talked about with Messi & Ronaldo
