"Wild, can improve technically and legs like a stork," said Jan Pienta, the man who discovered Müller. But the Bayern München scout still brought him into the club's youth system. That was in 2000. Now over 20 years later and the "stork" is the most decorated player in German football history and an iconic figurehead at Bayern. Niko Kovac did imagine Bayern without Muller....:) probably because Muller is so difficult to define as a football player, and Kovac was not able to understand how helpful he is for the team when properly used

@@49er.legacy Muller is extremely underrated but young Muller between 2013 to 2016 used to be massively overrated. He was a great player but not close to his current level. Muller is almost the opposite of the italian midfielder Pirlo who used to be very underrated while at Milan but became very overrated at Juventus

@@rockmorales Muller was often showing up in big matches but he was overrated ability wise. In fact his performances in big matches overrated him ability wise just like he is now underrated ability wise because he does not have many big moments and he underwhelms with Germany. He was a starter under Guardiola but he was sometimes benched in important games and his weaknesses were exposed by Ancelotti's 4-3-3 set-up after Guardiola left because Ancelotti did not play him in a set-up that suited him. Now Nagelsmann is not accomodating him like Flick did but he is still performing despite many predicting he was going to struggle under Nagelsmann so you can see that Muller is currently an underrated footballer ability wise. He has become much more complete while before Flick came in he was a great player but flawed. He was always a very good creator but he has developed playmaking abilities that he did not have before and his technique has also improved.

His foremost quality is his passion and his down to earth attitude. I admire him so much for this and have been a fan of his and Bayern ever since. Müller is important to Bayern as Bayern is to Müller. Hats off to this unique footballer.

The term Raumdeuter is exclusively for him. Moving into spaces, creating space, and orchestrates the teams pressing off the ball. Oh and he chips in with a goal or assist every so often 😂 jokes aside, wonderful, loyal and largely consistent for Bayern, future coach material

I love Müller for the fact that he doesn't have incredible or flashy technique when it comes to shooting and dribbling but his off the ball movement and decision making is right up there among the best in the world.

Even though I'm a fan of Borussia Dortmund but Thomas Muller is one of my favorite player ever. An underrated genius. We're so lucky that we can enjoy his magic of intellect and clumsy but such an effective technique. All the best to this wonderful player and simply amazing person
