Scoring 28 times this season, the Germany international played a huge part in Leipzig's run to third in the Bundesliga table. Werner's stats show just how good he is: With 79 goals for Leipzig in the Bundesliga he is their all-time top scorer - and that in just 127 games. On top of that, he also assisted 32 more, contributing to 112 goals in total. His agility, speed and finishing skills are impressive, as well as his ability to score from all different angles and positions.
Unfortunately Bundesliga fans have had to say goodbye to a world-class striker, with Werner turning out for Chelsea next season. So let's sit back and enjoy all of his goals from the 2019/2020 campaign!

@Niranjan Rajesh ur some Chelsea fan u have literally already gave up on him already. He’s on a bad run.you can’t have two brilliant seasons in the bundesliga and champions league by fluke. He can dribble and he can finish. His confidence is gone and that’s it really. To say he is a bad dribbler is dumb did you not watch newcastle vs Chelsea he set up the 2nd goal on the halfway line and also against Southampton for his first goal he dribbled past 3 players and scored.

I watched this video like 10x when we signed him. Biggest deception. The openness of the Bundesliga suited him. The premier league is like kryptonite to him. The defenders are very rough, they play really defensively, you rarely catch them on the counter. Especially with the way Chelsea play. Leipzig or Dortmund can have him back for a cut price, he's done out here

Watching this clip made me realise how open the Bundesliga is and why Werner scored so many goals and with so much spaces to run into... in the premier league most teams defend in low block and spaces are tight.

The quality of defending in the Bundesliga is terrible. Werner barely had to win any duels to score these goals, most of them are tap ins or 1v1s with dogshit defending and goalkeeping. Although 0:14, 3:35, 3:48, 4:03, 5:00 are quality finishes. But that's just 5 of his 28 goal compilation.

I'm a Chelsea fan,but I feel lampard has to change his style of playing to suit Werner and Ziyech. We can't always play to the sides and cross it to the striker, I feel that we need to play more in the inside.

yeah, i think lampard is going to use werner in games for when chelsea utilizes a quick counterattacking style and left sided inside forward along tammy or giroud for different games. I think Ziyesh has so much quality that he can be used for the crossing or quick passing into the box style so i think he only needs to change tactics for werner.

people don't really speak about how the pandemic and absence of supporters has had on the psychology of footballers. if you look at Timo's games pre-pandemic you can clearly see that he's one of those players which feed off the energy of the crowd... i just hope covid ends soon so we can see the best of Timo once again

Or the defending in the league is poor? Leizig vs. Dortmund, top draw game in the league, Werner’s goals are complete gifts from Dortmund defense. Clubs need to tighten up a bit more at the back in Germany, otherwise, their players will continue to suffer from massive expectations when shipped abroad. It’s not a no brainer that academy graduates who aren’t ready to make it to starting 11s in prem go out there and have fantastic seasons.

Genuinely feel not having fans in the stadium is affecting him. He seems to feed of that crowd energy. He seemed more pumped up and happier here cause of how the crowd celebrates after each goal. Bring back the fans at Stamford Bridge!!

what i've noticed is how a lot of these goals are mostly from fast breaks, once/if he is able to adapt to the premier league defenders and lack of space like vardy has, he will be great for us

@Gk2020 W German national team dont play to his strengths. They are like Spain they do better with false 9 or 2 up top. Remember in 2010 when Klose and Podolski played top 2 with Muller in false 9 behind them, that is the best attacking play I seen from Germany since I've watched football.
