On Matchday 32, Bayern München's shooting star Alphonso Davies didn't just win his first German title, but he also became the fastest player in the Bundesliga with his sprint in the match at Bremen. When the season started, the record since data collection began still stood at 35.5 km/h. No fewer than 10 players have beaten that figure from Fabian Johnson during the campaign, and Davies has now taken his place at the top. It’s difficult to note the exact sprint as the speed is calculated by the performance vest that’s worn under the shirts but it doesn’t show the time of the sprint on the system either

We probably haven’t even seen Davies run at full speed yet. Just saying, in football you rarely get the oppurtunity to run in a straight line for 60 - 70 meters. So he probably has some more in the tank.

Well that's because he's massive AND runs that fast. No one his size (at least in the bundesliga) can run as fast Edit: his fastest sprint was actually from the UCL so it can't be included in this list. If he ran that fast in the league, he would've made the top 10.

Well, cuz Håland did 36 km/he run in UCL not Bundesliga and he sprinted 60m in 6.64 secs which is 0.3 milliseconds shorter than Christian Coleman who recorded 60m in 6.34 secs. So Håland is the fastest player in UCL ever and same goes for La Liga - Gareth Bale (36.90 km/hr) EPL - Kyle Walker (37.82 km/hr) Ligue 1 - Kylian Mbappe (38 km/hr) Bundesliga - Alphonso Davies (36.50 km/hr) Serie A - Kostas Manolas (35.41 km/hr) World Cup - Arjen Robben (37 km/hr)

It is interesting how an untimely injury to Pavard led to Alaba being shifted to centre-back and led to Davies being given a go at left-back. Hansi Flick and Co also deserve a pat on their backs.

It's really frustrating when they always show goals highlights on whatever they're talking about top defenders, sprinters, passers, goalkeepers. It would be much entertaining if they showed some of their sprints and the one that broke the past record.
