Signing of the year for sure! He definitely was the missing midfield general last season for dortmund. Now that he's arrived dortmund has soared to the top of the bundesliga, amazing!!!

@@kielutube not to discredit them but bayern has had one of their worst start to the season in recent years and are no where near their best tbh dourtmound succues is all on magical luck they are at their recent best (since their cl final season) and bayern at their worst of recent time

One of if not then dortmund's most important player this season. Absolute unit in the middle of the park that keeps the attack ticking and strengthens the defence. Excellent eye for a pass and a really good sense of positioning as well as great physicality, bloody steal for Dortmund to get him for €20 million

I am Belgian, had the chance to watch him play a few times for the national team and once for Dortmund last week against Freiburg. Seeing him live makes you realize the level of this guy, every touch is perfectly balanced. He steals the show every time. Somehow more important than DeBruyne or Reus now, he’s that good (in my humble opinion).

@@brianandraos1411 How is he more important than De Bruyne? If you don't know that De Bruyne is the key player for Martinez's tactics you are not watching enough football. I mean Witsel does well to win the ball and make great passes, but the word "important" means a whole different thing. Belgium's tactics are very similar to Zidane's Real Madrid, with De Bruyne as the "key man" deep lying playmaker.

@@dorthusiast of course they are both great players. But if you take witsel from dortmund you'll feel his absence and the gap he creates on the other side de bruyne is out now and city are playing just fine if not the same. Again both are great players I'm not taking from any of them.

He's been everywhere, from Russia to China. He's got a wealth of experience and knowledge of the game. Statistically, perfect. Less than a foul a game and 94% passing accuracy. Built like a tank and rarely injured. My favourite player in Dortmund for sure.
