Anyone else think that Hakan Calhanoglu might be the best free kick taker of this decade? He sure is sizing up against the likes of Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Alaba, Pirlo and Messi

Bale and Mata are better than Ronaldo and Messi at free kicks. Ronaldo and Messi can't currently make them as best as they used to.(At least Ronaldo Can't

Ronaldo can't hit free kicks because all of his are just power shots. He slams them at goal and hopes for a result. That's why his free kicks are stunning when he scores, but his conversion rate is not good. No finesse about him, just brute strength when it comes to free kicks. Messi is better, although neither are particularly great at the moment. Neymar and Rakitic can crack one and about half the Madrid squad are free kick specialists.

Çalhanoglu is the best free kick taker in the world and Lucas Piazons was very good but Alaba's free kick was the best ;)

Yo Alaba's wasn't against Werder Bremen, it was against Stuttgart. The white kits and the fact it was in the Mercedes Arena, sort of gave it away.

Alaba has only scored around 3 free kicks I think. He's not as good as calhanoglu no one is currently maybe the guy from werder bremen.

Umut Kara Arsenal Alaba was injured and had to rest half time of the season, thus Bayern have some other top freekick takers such as Robben, Alonso, Schweinsteiger, that's why he had not much chances taking freekicks for Bayern. You can't compare him to Calhanoglu just by the number of freekick they take.
