Not just for Bayern but also for Germany. In 2010 and 14 he had that freedom. His sense of play is bit different so he's very good at positioning. Often he's at the right place at the right time. With his talent he's the great at assist and can score too. In 2018 and 2016 Euro too it felt like he's chained up and can't move as freely as he wanted. Gotta give him the space he wants.

Facts : If Muller score an early goal in a match , the other team will be humiliated with 5 goals or above.

Müller's high football IQ gives him so many assists and goals. But he's so important to his teams in other ways too. Müller encourages and instructs the players, he directs the press and he helps create so many goal scoring opportunities and key passes. He even runs back to help defend masterfully, sometimes directing the counter. Hansi Flick used to jokingly refer to Radio Muller as his on-field coach. I'm sure if Müller wanted to he could focus on becoming, once again, the deadly goal scorer he used to be. But the team would suffer overall. And Müller cares about the team a lot more than personal glory. That's why he's a living legend and a true inspiration.

I am not sure about that. He would need to get used to a goalscoring role again to score more goals. Yes, he has a lot of qualities that go beyond scoring and assisting but many refuse to take note of it. For example he directed Germany's offense against Portugal and yet many claim he was Germany's worst player in the Euros which is patently nonsense. He was bad for most of the matches but without him Germany would not even gone past the group stage. What many fail to realize is that Germany were so badly coached under Loew that even a goal against England would not have changed much.

I think Muller's best quality personality wise is his resiliency while a weakness is that he does not have the mentality of a superstar.

@@SkyrushLOL That is true but i feel that Muller struggles to cope with the pressure when he is supposed to be the star player and not a great player among other great players and when his coach does not rate him too highly. I think he has some confidence issues because as a youth player he was not seen as a huge talent due to his playing style.

That is the true superstar standard. Not some troll on the internet or some dumb people voting for their favorite players.

Müller made 21 assists and scored 15 goals in all tournaments ... I don't understand what else a player has to do to get at least in the top 30.

He is the sort of player that needs to stand out in big games or to win UCLs every year to be in contention for any type of individual award sadly. His miss against England was also very poor PR, Loew must hate Muller or something because he was not match fit and he should have been hooked off even before the miss.

@@MER8419 No Pr and he was also underwhelming in the Euros. Also Bayern did go past the quarters final in the UCL. Kimmich is more skillful than Muller but he is not a flashy player .

I'm talking about uniqueness not about greatness. Inzaghi is an "offside man" with a lot of goals. Muller is a "Raumdeuter" with many titles...

@@falsealarms I see. But why Muller being known as a a raumdeuter would prevent him from winning titles?. They are both unique but not in the same way. Inzaghi was severely technically limited, Muller is lacking when it comes to free kicks and dribbling but aside from that his technique is very good even though it is not the easiest on the eye.

@@peatta No offence to Inzaghi but i think there are better players you can compare Muller to. Someone like Rooney or Del Piero would be a better comparison though i believe Muller has already surpassed both of them.

I think Muller should try to score goals every time he gets close to the box (as in his youth) because he is the best striker in the world for me. He proved that he is the king of assist , and his teamates would have to return his service that he scores, becoming one of the Bundesliga's top scorers.
